We started the Ardennes Section in May 2014 and arrived in Gilsdorf in August 2014. The original idea was to strap up the backpack starting from Vis&eacut; and walk with luggage from camping site to camping site. However, due to my muscle injury we decided to postpone that. With tricks and puzzling and lots of searching on the internet we decided to put the tent in a central location on the camping site of Spa and daily use public transport to go to the starting and end point of that day so that we can walk the stages without luggage. This appeared to be possible for almost the complete section until the border with Luxemburg, but in the German speaking part of Belgium public transport is more scarce and so we decided to walk 1 day with luggage. In August 2014 we continued from Leithum. The first 2 days with luggage because along the northern part of the Our river (north from Rodershausen) there is effectively no public transport. After that, from Obereisenbach we can walk 2 more days without luggage to Gilsdorf. That was definitely needed, because the stage from Obereisenbach to Vianden is so long and strenuous that we probably wouldn't have made it with full gear. Finally on the 11th of August we made it to Gilsdorg dus finishing the Ardennes Section. What was the best part? Hard to say of course, because sometimes one doesn't enjoy beautiful parts because of a bad day and other days it's double the joy as walking goes almost without effort.
